Set up a custom domain

On Pro (1 domain) or Business (5 domains), your codes can use your own subdomain, such as qr.yourbrand.com, instead of qrtada.com.

Steps

  1. In Settings, Domains, add your subdomain.
  2. At your DNS provider, create the CNAME record shown, pointing to custom.qrtada.com.
  3. Verification runs automatically every 5 minutes for 72 hours. You can also trigger it manually.
  4. Once verified, the HTTPS certificate is issued and the domain can be picked when creating a code.

Good to know

  • A code's domain is set at creation and never changes, since it is printed.
  • A domain used by at least one code cannot be removed.
  • If your DNS stops pointing to QRTada, codes on that domain stop working: you get an alert.
