- Every dynamic code created or edited during a paid period keeps redirecting to its latest destination, with no interstitial page and no time limit. A code created during the trial is covered from your first payment; without that payment, it is paused (a waiting page with a button to its destination) and reactivates when you subscribe.
- After cancellation, the code can no longer be edited and its statistics are no longer available. It keeps working.
- Hosted pages stay online in read-only mode.
Exceptions
A destination that became malicious or illegal, a request to delete your account, a court decision or a breach of the terms of use. Details are in the terms of sale.
When the trial or the subscription ends, elsewhere
Not every service shuts codes off the same way, and some do not shut them off at all. Here is what the public pages of eight vendors said on September 25, 2026, with a source for each row. When a fact only comes from the search snippet of a help page we could not open, we say so.
| Service | When the trial ends | When the subscription ends | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| QR Code Generator PRO | 14-day trial, no card; dynamic codes deactivated and sent to a service page (help center snippet) | Links pause when you stop paying (vendor blog); reactivated when you resubscribe | Help center, blog |
| Uniqode | 14-day trial, no card; dynamic codes become inactive | Codes become inactive; people who scan see an error page | Pricing, help center |
| QRFY | 7-day trial; dynamic codes deactivated and linked to a service page | Active until the end of the paid period; what happens next is not stated | Trial end, cancellation |
| QR TIGER | No time-limited trial: free plan with 3 dynamic codes, 500 scans per code, ads on scan | Codes stop working when the plan expires; data kept for up to 1 year | Pricing, FAQ |
| Scanova | 14-day trial, no card; dynamic codes stop working | Codes deactivated, data kept for 26 months (help center snippet) | Pricing, help center |
| Hovercode | No trial: free plan with 3 dynamic codes that never expire | Back to the free plan: the first 3 codes stay active, the rest become inactive but are not deleted | Pricing |
| QRCodeChimp | No trial: free plan with 10 dynamic codes, 1,000 scans a month | Back to the free plan: codes beyond 10 are paused | Pricing |
| ME-QR | No trial: free plan with ads shown on scan | Codes keep working, ads come back | FAQ |
| QRTada | 7-day trial for $0, card required; without a payment, codes are paused (interstitial page with a button to the destination) and reactivate at the first payment | Active for life, to their last destination, with no ads; you just can no longer edit them | Terms of sale |
Shutting codes off is not universal: Hovercode, QRCodeChimp and ME-QR keep some or all codes working, with limits (number of codes, ads). What sets QRTada apart is that every code created or edited while you were paying stays active, with no cap on the number and no ads. Vendor policies change: check their page before you print, and keep a dated screenshot. Detailed comparisons live under alternatives, and entry prices are compared on the pricing page.
