Google review link generator
From your Place ID, the tool builds the link that opens your listing's rating window directly, skipping Google Maps.

Get your direct Google review link
The link opens the rating window of your listing directly, not the listing itself.
- Open Google's Place ID Finder and type your business name.
- Copy the ID it shows, which often starts with ChIJ.
- Paste it below. You can also paste the short "g.page/r/.../review" link from your Business Profile.
Nothing is sent to QRTada: the link is built in your browser.
Paste your Place ID to get the link.
Why a direct link
Sending customers to your Google Maps listing means asking them to find "Write a review" at the bottom of a long page. The direct link opens the stars right away: one step fewer, fewer drop-offs. It looks like this:
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJ...Finding your Place ID
The Place ID is your business's unique identifier at Google. Two free ways to get it:
- Google's Place ID Finder (linked in the tool above): type your business name and the ID appears under the map.
- Your Google Business Profile: "Ask for reviews" gives you a short link like
g.page/r/.../review. The tool accepts it as is.
We do not run the search for you: that would mean sending what you type to a Google service from our servers. The search happens at Google, and the link is built in your browser.
Rules to follow
- No incentives for reviews: discounts, gifts, raffle entries.
- No review gating: you cannot send only happy customers to Google and route the rest to a private form.
- No staff reviews of their own business, and no reviews written for customers.
In the US, the FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials, in force since October 2024, also bans buying reviews and suppressing negative ones. Asking every customer, with no strings attached, is perfectly fine. Note that Yelp asks businesses not to solicit reviews at all.
Check the link before printing
Open the link in a browser signed in to a Google account that does not manage your business. The rating window should appear with your listing's name at the top. If another business with the same name shows up, such as an old closed listing, your Place ID is wrong: search again with the full address. If the page stays blank, the listing may be suspended or pending verification in your Business Profile. This check takes a minute and saves reprinting a batch of table stands.
Where to share the link
| Channel | Moment | Format |
|---|---|---|
| QR code on a stand or sticker | At the check, at pickup | 1.5 to 2 in code |
| Follow-up text or email | The day after the service | Tappable link |
| Invoice or receipt | At payment | 1 in QR code |
| Email signature | Always | Text link |
For print, the Google review QR code wraps this link in a frame with a call to action and counts scans. The restaurant guide shows a full dining room setup.
Frequently asked questions

The Place ID is stable, but Google can reissue it after a move or a merge of listings. Check it once a year.
Do customers need a Google account?
Yes, Google requires sign-in to post a review.
Does QRTada store my Place ID?
No, the link is built in your browser and nothing is sent.
Can I get a link for a business that is not mine?
Technically yes, Place IDs are public. Only use the link for your own business.
