What the coupon page holds
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Title | Back to school offer |
| Discount | 15% off your first order |
| Promo code, copied with one tap | SCHOOL15 |
| Terms | Orders over $30, excludes items already on sale |
| Expiration date | October 31, 2026 |
| Action button | Order online |
After the expiration date, the page clearly says the offer has ended, instead of showing a code that fails at the register. You can also point the code to a new offer, so the flyer stays useful for your next campaign.
Limiting use
Pro adds two options on the code itself: a scheduled expiration at a precise date and time, and a scan limit after which the code shows an ended page or redirects to a fallback address. Handy for an offer reserved to the first 100 customers.
Rules for promotional offers
The FTC's guides against deceptive pricing say a "sale" or "percent off" claim must be measured against a price you actually charged, in good faith, for a reasonable period. Several states add their own rules, and California requires the former price to be the prevailing price within the previous three months. Keep the terms readable, not hidden behind a tiny asterisk: the coupon page gives them their own visible field.
Where to share your coupon
| Placement | Code size | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Flyer, 5.5 x 8.5 in | 1.25 to 2 in | One code per neighborhood to compare areas |
| Receipt | 1 in | A come-back offer valid next month |
| Shop window | 4 to 6 in | Seen in the evening when the store is closed |
| Bag or package | 1.25 in | A deal on the next order |
On a flyer, one code per neighborhood or drop-off spot tells you where distribution paid off. For text reminders, the SMS QR code lets customers opt in themselves.
Common mistakes
- A promo code with no limit at the register: posted on a deals forum, it can be used hundreds of times.
- An expired offer still on display: the page flags it, but also pull the physical pieces.
- Missing terms: the number one cause of disputes with disappointed customers.
The coupon page is one of the advanced page types on Pro, which you can try for 7 days for $0.
Your codes keep working, even if you stop paying
Every code you create or edit on a paid plan keeps redirecting to its last destination, forever.
Static codes are included in every plan: they rely on no server and never expire.
